Fruit of the Loom song
I am so so old that when those ladies come on in their bras and panties I just close my eyes and freak out over that song. Sounds like the same people who did the Country Time Lemonade song a few years ago. Those diminished chords have a strange and wonderful effect. Country Time offered recordings of the song and I sent for one. I still play it

Years ago -- I mean, like, DECADES AGO -- my mom was hardcore into "Days of Our Lives," the soap opera. This was before she got fed up with the Salem Stalker story line (or whatever) where characters were killed but not really killed and secretly taken to some island or whatever.
ReplyDeleteAnyway -- to the point! There was a big Days of Our Lives wedding (Doug and Julie, if I recall correctly) and the minister performing the ceremony was played by the same guy who played in the CountryTime Lemonade commercials.
It must have been a holiday or something, because my dad, brother, and I were all watching with her. It was all very romantic and whatnot, but every time they showed the minister, we three guys would break in and sing the CountryTime song.
Mom didn't talk to us for the rest of the day. And we never drank CountryTime again.
"Days" hasn't changed a bit. Doug and Julie are still in love and Stefano, that evil phoenix, keeps rising. He and his evil sons are still intent upon destroying the Brady Clan.
