Hearing Loss
There will be great advances in hearing aid technology, cost and insurance coverage, only when large numbers of younger persons, well under retirement age, experience significant hearing impairment and hearing loss is no longer perceived as an old folks disease that must be hidden with tiny devices that can't be seen.

I have some hearing loss, but I'm holding out for a myBeltone model hearing aid that comes in jewel tones with all kinds of cool accessories. Plus it has to have a 5-gigabyte storage capacity for MP3s, with optional keyboard.

If you get one, you can load it up with gershwin.
I hope it happens in your lifetime. May there be trunk showings of high tech/high fashion earwear.
