When radio was all there was

I wonder if a person who grew up in the world of television and internet can ever fully appreciate the value of the spoken word as it was transmitted by radio in that medium's "golden era." A few podcasters  try, but the word "radio" has a different feeling, a totally different meaning for them than it does for one who experienced radio when that's all there was.

  1. Personally I'd really love to have radio like it was before t.v. I like to listen as I'm crocheting or knitting. Plus the intensity was incredible. I can pretty much predict whats coming next on tv. But not so with radio! Need the days of a much simpler life rather than this fast pace world we I live in. Thank God forthose whom lived in those days and share them with us all. I came into this world a little late, (1959). 🌸

    1. Thanks Pam. You are one of the 3 people who read my blogs. It seems like I remember 2 others from 10 years ago.
